Certification reveals Galaxy S22 series will come with 45W charging after all

We've seen several reports of the charging speed of the Samsung Galaxy S22 line from last year. Some say the S22 phone will continue charging at 25W, while others claim that the S22 series will mark a return of 45W speed for the Galaxy S. China 3C certified up to S22 (SMS9010), S22+ (SMS9060) and S22 Ultra (SMS9080) with 25W charging, and Danish DEMKO certified Plus and Ultra models with 45W charging.

Galaxy S22+ (SM/S906E/DS, SM906E, SMS9060) and S22 Ultra (SMS908E/DS, SM908E, SMS9080, SC52C, SCG14) have different charging rates by region, but the base model ( SMS901E / DS, SM901E, SMS9010, SC51C, SCG13) will only work up to 25W wherever you buy them.

The Danish certification body does not tell you about the batteries of these smartphones. However, according to recent leaks, the S22 will come with a 3700mAh battery, while the S22+ and S22 Ultra will come with 4500mAh and 5000mAh cells respectively.

Samsung is yet to divulge anything about the Galaxy S22 series, but the company is hosting a Galaxy Unpacked event on February 9 where it's expected to unveil the Galaxy S22 smartphones and the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
