Global Xiaomi 12 Pro gets listed by the FCC, appears in Geekbench benchmark

Xiaomi unveiled the Series 12 a few days before New Year's Eve and only announced plans to launch it in China. The rest of the world is still awaiting a global release, and while there is no official date yet, clues are piling up suggesting an imminent release.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro and its vanilla sibling were discovered a few weeks ago in the database of an Indonesian telecommunications company, and now the Pro has also passed the FCC and has appeared in several test results. The
FCC report for phones (2201122G) indicates support for the following 5G sub6 bands: n5, n7, n38, n51, n66, n77 and n78. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E, but it is not yet legal in some regions (eg EU). It is also equipped with NFC.
This 5G connection is powered by a Qualcomm modem inside the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Geekbench results for the global Xiaomi 12 Pro show 12 GB of RAM and Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top. The 8th gen 1 phone may require some global ROM work as the score is low. For
RAM, the base Pro has 8 GB, but there is only one result in the database, so I can't make any conclusions about how much memory is available to users around the world. The base Xiaomi 12 we tested on Geekbench has 8GB of RAM (this device got a lower score, indicating that the ROM isn't prime-time ready).
This phone also appeared in the HTML5Test database with Chrome 96 on Android 12. Interestingly, since these results were obtained two months before the launch of the 12 series by Xiaomi, work on the global model has been going on for some time. The Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro is gearing up for global launch, and the third member of the Xiaomi 12X family will most likely join. The release date is still vague, but according to previous leaks, the launch of the Xiaomi 12 is targeted for February or March, and there is no reason to believe that the two brothers won't be next to each other. And don't forget that the Ultra model is waiting too.
