There is always room for other very cheap smartphones, at least according to Tecno. Transsion launched Pop 5X in Mexico with quad-core processor, Android 10 Go and 4000mAh battery. On the front of the is a 6.5-inch HD screen and a 5-megapixel selfie camera installed in a water droplet notch.
Tecno hasn't revealed what the chipset is, but the phone is most likely a badged iTel Vision 1Pro (another Transsion product), and the specs page says it's powered by the Unisoc SC9832E. It has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, but can be expanded using a microSD card. On the back of the Pop 5X is an 8-megapixel main camera and two QVGA cameras, which I think have limited usefulness. There is also a physical fingerprint scanner next to the camera island. A phone sells for 2,000 Mexican pesos, or about $115. It is already available in select brick-and-mortar stores across Latin American countries.
