Sony bought the Bungee for $ 3.6 billion

Another major game developer studio has been acquired in the form of the Bungie - the Destiny series, the developer behind the original Halo game, as well as older titles such as Marathon, Myth, and Oni, which are now part of Sony Interactive Entertainment. The deal is worth $ 3.6 billion and Bungie CEO Pete Parsons has confirmed that his team "will continue to publish independently and develop our games creatively."
In a separate blog post, Game Studio Destiny 2 confirmed that it will continue to be a multi-platform game available on both PlayStation and Xbox, and will remain the same with future game releases.
Bungee was founded in 1991 and has been credited with revolutionizing first-person shooter (FPS) games and was once part of Microsoft and later Activision. Game Studio has been independent since 2019 and has been successful with its Destiny franchise. Sony's acquisition comes two weeks after it announced it would buy Microsoft Activision Blizzard for $ 68.7 billion.
