Apple's iPhone 14 series is still a few months away, but rumors about the iPhone 15 line are already starting to appear. Apple is testing prototype and sample components of the 5x telephoto lens for the iPhone 15 Pro. A final decision on who will be the manufacturer is expected in May 2022. Information about the iPhone 15 Pro was provided by analyst Jeff Pu, according to a report by 9to5Mac. Apple has not yet released information about the upcoming iPhone 14 series, which is expected to be the successor to the iPhone 13 series later this year.
If approved, the component will be included in the "2023 high-line iPhone", which should mean the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The lens manufacturer will be Lante Optics, and 100 million units are expected to be made exclusively for Apple.
Periscope The lens is not new and is already available on several Android smartphones. The optical assembly of the longer telephoto lens can be positioned horizontally, making it suitable for today's slim phones.
Android phones have been using this technology for several years, but Apple has traditionally tried to perfect the feature before implementing it.
